Dr. Bridgette Y. Williams became a widow unexpectedly when her husband passed away from a heart condition. He was working for the IRS, and what frustrated her was the lack answers and support she received from the IRS regarding the circumstances around his death. Her husband was a veteran of the United States Navy, and he (and Bridgette) deserved to be treated better than they were. Dr. Williams is the founder of the No Widow Left Behind PAC and is an advocate for the rights of the families of our veterans. In this episode Bridgette tells her story and discusses how our politicians can work together to improve the support widows and families of veterans receive.
